Once you have chosen the product from which you will derive, the image on the right will update with the product details. It is assigned when a product is submitted to the catalog.įor future reference, Product IDs can be found at the bottom of product pages if you access from the IMVU Classic Website and it is also the number at the end of a product page's URL if you access from the IMVU Classic Website or the IMVU Next. You can also type in a product ID in the Product ID field. You can search for the product name in the Search Bar. Here, you can search the product you wish to use as your base.

To do this, click on the Hamburger icon on the upper left and hover your mouse on File. Starting a New Project in IMVU Studio will allow you to derive from an existing product. If the product is a room, you will not be able to use it as a public room. You can wear it, but no one else has permission to see it (in some cases, that means they will see you in the default option). Remember that while your product is unpublished, you can use it and test it but no one else will know it exists in the catalog or in IMVU. To do so, go to the Creator Tools Bar and click on the small red circle. Therefore, you may want to hide your product until it passes Peer Review. While a product is in Peer Review, customers may prefer not to purchase it because it could be taken away from them if it does not pass Peer Review. Once your product is in Peer Review, your Product Page will show a bar at the top warning potential customers that this product is in Peer Review and may not pass. Once you Sign Up to be a Creator, even if you have never submitted a product, you can review products. We also encourage you to be a peer reviewer yourself. Peer Review is an opportunity for Creators to test your product and its description. The one on the screen will be substituted with the one you have chosen. If you want to see your own avatar, go to the Bottom Toolbar and click Outfits. The Open Panel enables you to browse your projects that are already in progress. Once you have created and saved a project, and you are happy about how it looks, it is time to upload it to the shop.
